Yarn Wreath and bloggie excitement!!

I'm so excited I was featured today at Lasting Memories!! Glad you liked my jounaling jots ;)  Now, I will have to get a hold of tec support so I can get my buttons!! He he he...Woo Hoo!  I'm so green at this. But, I have desire and will figure it out.
So I leave you with a little non paper ditty! For just ten dollars I created not one, but, three warn wreaths! They were so super easy to make:
Supplies
1. 12 pieces of 3 for $1.00 felt
2. The accucut machine (for the circles)
3. Three willow wreath forms
4. Hot Glue and Gun
5. Bling (optional...not for me though :) )

Wrap the yarn around the wreath.
Spiral cut the circles, roll em up and hot glue the backs.
Hot glue to the yarn wrapped wreath.
Easy Peasy and sooo pretty.
Have any of You made a yarn wreath? I'd love ta know

StarWars birthday

Good Tuesday all! My submission to "Let's Celebrate"over at Lasting Memories,  takes me to a galaxy far, far away. This is Ozkars 6th birthday. He has been in awe of Star Wars for a while now. I never thought I would know those movies as well as I do, oh the hidden perks of Motherhood!! Thank Goodness Creative Imaginations has Star Wars paper and embellishments. Good Bye for now and Use the Force...

Ancient Relics...

Ok, just for fun I had to post this pic! I was helping a friend do some organizing and came across these beauties....Are they not a hoot?? Who ever thought to use scissors with 11.75" Blades??? I guess there weren't 12" paper cutters yet... LOL!! We laughed so hard. We are thinking these must have been from the 1900's....snicker snicker snicker. They do not cut accurate, but, they look good sitting next to the ATG gun! I did my first scrapbook in 1997 for a part of a senior project. Then didn't really do any other paper crafting until Miss. Ellanor Francis was born in 2003. I've been hooked since. I hope these scissors made you laugh
too!

Heres another card I've done using Miss Caroline from My Minds Eye. The stamp set is Amuse! Colored in with Cpoics I've also added Stickles to the floral in the background. I'm super digging these more "vintage table cloth" patterns.
This sketch is fromhttp://kgiron.blogspot.com/2012/02/sweet-sunday-sketch-challenge-153.html
I will be entering over there for the first time this week.

star struck...

***CHA 2012***
Ok, I have to admit, I was a little star struck...it's Tim Holtz!
This was taken on day two of my first trip to CHA. What an opportunity to go and be a buyer, woot woot. He was so nice too! Asked me if I was enjoying the show and I played it cool, then my boss turned around and told him it was my very first show...blush. He seemed genuinely excited for me and congratulated me. His creativity & products are so inspiring. I definitely left the booth rejuvenated. Ok enough about Mr. Holtz :)

My First entry into Lasting Memories #76 challenge!

All wrapped up in ribbons~Love May Arts ribbons. Entering my first challenge is so much fun. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm for real now, lol!!

Welcome to my first real post. With the help of my hubby I got a couple of pictures uploaded, woo hoo! I'm really excited about this My Minds Eye Miss Caroline paper!!! Such a great mix of feminine and masculine patterns. Andddd I'm loving the Sizzix Hero Arts stamp and die combo. I see a card class in the near future with both of these items! I recently had the pleasure of meeting Heidi Grace Kress of Clever Handmade. I love her designs. Her eclectic style is a welcome change to what has saturated the market, in my humble opinion, for the last few years. :) She will be at Ben Franklin of Monroe the 10th of March doing a couple of fantastic make and takes and a trunk show. Did I mention she's a local? love to support local.

Ok I'm gonna give the blog another shot. Stay tuned follower, lol!
