Just a little glimpse of Easter

 Good Day Friends!
I wanted to share a couple of Easter Cards I was working on today.
For starters my Glittered Choco Bunnie! I love making this card, it never gets old!
The Bunny Grass and Eggs are all off the 2010 Easter Cricut Cart...did I mention I love my Cricut? I don't think I have...yet. I have lots of these cuts stored away, as I borrowed this cart from a good friend and I just can't find the cartridge affordably any more...I keep looking!! I think I will enter this one in over at Paper Lovin Gals. Cause it just fits the bill soooo perfectly!!

Secondly....I sent my Hubby into Impress on his lunch break yesterday...what a good man. The stamp of the week a $3.00 goodie....love that price tag! So here are a few ways I've used it! I'm thinking I could not ink the eggs, and stamp gifts in the wheelbarrow too!! Oh onto my button and twine issues, lol!! Twine is so fun and inexpensive.  And I love doilies, they are so versatile. I turned a few into flowers the other day too!!
Have a Sunny Day!

Just Add Ink!

Good Morning everybody! Just a quick post before  I head off to work. I came across this great little
blog called
Just Add Ink, & loved the sketch so I thought I'd try it out before I leave.

I used Echo Park that I have had since the summer...my bad. The sketch just made me think of it! And, the button sliders just worked out too cute, in my humble opinion, lol. I should like my work though, right? Thanks for stoppin by and if you get the chance check out the work of the other ladies over at Just Add Ink, they are super!

Friday Mash Up  #51

QUILTING

I was so inspired by Holly's Quilted card that I decided to join in the fun. Here's my first attempt at a quilted look. I used scraps from the We R Memory keepers new baby line Snips and  Snails ands Sugar and Spice. I think they worked out nicely. A little SU ribbon I have from past projects...a little white pen and voila!

A little side angle it's defiantly not perfect, but, for my first shot I'll take it!!
Thanks for coming by to look at my little creation! Have a Great Day, Sonja

ZDRAVO EUGNE
Here's my submission to Lasting Memories #80

Hello fellow crafty ones! I just love the challenge over at Lasting Memories this week!! The opportunity to showcase the other lovies in our lives. Pets can be such good friends. This is our Zdravo pronounced
Straw-vo, it's Croatian for what we thought meant Cheers. That's my heritage, well some of it, my mom was born in the former Jougoslavia on the coast of the beautiful Adriatic Sea...how quickly I get side tracked, lol.

Ok here's the Puppy Love
I used the Cricut Create a Critter Cart, it's probably my favorite cartridge, for the bones and dog house.

Couple of angel views.
Just a touch of journaling on the left side of Ozkar's pic with the new puppy. The journaling talks about our journey to Eugne Oregon to pick up the new family member :)

So there it tis! Thanks for looking. I always find a little more inspiration in all the kindness that has come My way since I've started my journey into the blog world. Sonja

Nikki Sivils, Exit Here Collection

Oh have mercy it looks like a rainbow exploded in my house, that's always a good sign! I have been busy playing with my new Nikki Sivils papers. A good friend turned me onto her and what a delight it has been. I love the feel of her products, they defiantly evoke warm fuzzies.
I'm going to share a couple of cute little things I have made.

Soooo I'm in love with these note books...only a dollar a perfect blank canvas! I modge podged the entire book with "My Traveling Dress" it's just the perfect size print. Then I used my Martha Scoreboard to make the rosette and hot glue to anchor that baby on....it's not going anywhere it may get smashed in my bag, but I think it'll still be cute. I also added the house off  the cut up sheet. A couple of buttons...gotta have buttons! And a little fabric rose on the clasp.
The other thing I did was modge podge the paper on upside down and backwards! And you know what?? I'm still pleased with the outcome, somethings don't always go as planned. You just roll with it. So my book opens upside down and backwards...everything else is still right side up!

There she is upright!

The next project was this canvas frame...love so easy and simple.
I used  a shimmering mist. I really like the random spots it gives and a little shimmer. It's Radiant rain, Luminarte. You could use Twinkling H2O's or Tim Holtz, depending on the look you're going for. This literally took 20 minutes to do? Maybe...
Oh, my little Ellanor when she was four in Croatia, such fond memories of these days.
I used double sided adhesive and pop dots to attach the cut ups.

I think these would make a great little hostess gift, thank you gift, or a just because gift.

I had the opportunity to meet Nikki at CHA this year and she's a lovely person. On a side note...I wish somebody would have told me not to wear the mock neck!! I look like an old lady! lol, oh well I know now.

Have a great day and I hope that you've enjoyed these cute little creations. They sure were  fun to make, I think I will be making more...

...My Love...

Good Evening Crafty Peeps. I have designed a page inspired by ...

I really liked the simplicity of the sketch. The papers are Close to My Heart "Wings" collection. I've had the papers around for a while and decided this was the time to use them. I also used my SU top note.  Titled My Love. I've been inspired to scrap our pictures together before the kiddos!! I have always scrapped the kids and family pictures...not anymore, I'm on a roll now :) Thanks for looking!

ScrapFit Step Class #2

Well Hello! I'm excited to find this blog. Quite the treat!!  What a great challenge. I have used long needles to create my decorative "pin"  and glass pearls, and what fun I had!! I am inspired to make more. I think with buttons would be sweet too.

The card stock is random leftovers. The stamp set is SU hostess exclusive and the ink is SU chocolate chip...a favorite of mine :) Topped off with the SU scalloped border punch. Thanks for the challenge and stopping by!

Lasting Memories Challenge #79!

When I saw the colors in the inspiration photo this week I knew just what pictures were waiting to get scrapped. I did something new...I've not scrapped ANY couples fotos of my hubby and I? Crazy right ? I have done other projects with wedding fotos and pictures of when we were "kids" but none of us a couple.
So here we go, This is Jason and I at our Senior Homecoming, the green in the inspiration picture made me think of this picture...so I went to the foto storage container and dug er out.

Insert sighing here.... lol, the smaller picture is of us on June 15th 2003. The day before our Ellanor was due...she waited an extra eights days....We set our camera up on a ladder and took pictures in the back yard documenting my grande belly and our two-some love.

I used SU waffle paper and a SU brad on my little flower there in the corner. The SU top note and the paper is My Minds eye and WR Memory Keepers.

Thanks for looking a enduring my mushie-ness. I definitely think I will be scrappin more of our fotos together....Do I dare tackle the wedding album? Have any of you tackled your wedding fotos?

Let's Get Sketchy Challenge #1

Hello, LGS I'm so excited to  be participating for the very first time here! I love the sketch and here's my interpertation

I used May Arts ribbon, various card stocks and pieces from My Minds Eye, Miss Caroline, line. The simplicity really allows the photography shine, my daughter Ellanor and she is Lovely. When I saw this title I immediately heard Stevie Wonder and the lyrics to this song. The wonderment of a new life is so beautiful. I never want to forget it. She took My husband and I from two ta one!! Nine years ago, and what a blessing she's become.

Thank you sooo much for looking and the opportunity to play.

I've got a brand new pair of Roller Skates...

I love being the family's "crafty" person!! I got a call and my niece was having a roller skating party for her birthday, "Aunt Sunny, can you make a roller skating party invitation?" "Um, of course I can niecy!!"
I knew I didn't have a skate, but that didn't stop me! I knew I had a sneaker on the Paisley Cricut cart. ..where there's a shoe...there's a skate! Thus, with some circles from the George cart a roller skate was born and smiles ensued! I'm defiantly blessed to be able to create these memories for my family.

LMCB # 78

I was so excited when I saw this weeks sketch! I was just what I needed. I have had these beautiful pictures of my kids that I have been needing to get scrapped, I just didn't know what I wanted to do. Then  I the challenge and the whole thing inspired me. I used Coordination's paper for my main background, A little Echo Park border sticker, some random card stock for my die cuts, a little Stampin Up stamps, and my Martha Stewart fringe scissors!

The end product...I'm happy thanks for stopping by and looking!!

Simple Stories

Simple Stories
Simple Stories has to be my almost favorite new companies we brought in from Winter CHA. The colors and designs are so on the money in my opinion. The line I've used to create Ellanors 8th  Tu-Tu birthday page is called "Fabulous"
and I think it was named well!! I had so much fun with this party and the girls seemed to have a blast celebrating. :)  I made a dozen tu-tu's and they played twister in em, little tu-tu-tushie's  all bottoms up was hysterical.

I'm on fire for bakers twine as well! I love how versatile it is. On this page I punched holes with My Cropadile around the picture and laced three strands around the page, pulled em thru the button and called it LOVE!!!
So heres an up close shot of the bakers twine lacing. I used Stampin Up pennent punch for the banner and some random buttons. I love buttons too... The bakers twine is from WE R Memory Keepers Sew Easy line. They call if "fancy floss."
Enjoy! Thanks for looking!!

From Trash 2 Treasure!
Ok here is the journey of my 5.00 Goodwill Chair!
Naturally they come in pairs! So here's the before & after
I had to take the back off and then used tacks to put-er back together, wasn't wanting to, but I think it turned out pretty good for a first timer.

Almost there....
And donzies!! I'm liking it and for $12.00 in fabric and tacks I'm not complaining. Now on to the next one!!
