Nikki Sivils, Exit Here Collection
Oh have mercy it looks like a rainbow exploded in my house, that's always a good sign! I have been busy playing with my new Nikki Sivils papers. A good friend turned me onto her and what a delight it has been. I love the feel of her products, they defiantly evoke warm fuzzies.
I'm going to share a couple of cute little things I have made.
Soooo I'm in love with these note books...only a dollar a perfect blank canvas! I modge podged the entire book with "My Traveling Dress" it's just the perfect size print. Then I used my Martha Scoreboard to make the rosette and hot glue to anchor that baby on....it's not going anywhere it may get smashed in my bag, but I think it'll still be cute. I also added the house off the cut up sheet. A couple of buttons...gotta have buttons! And a little fabric rose on the clasp.
The other thing I did was modge podge the paper on upside down and backwards! And you know what?? I'm still pleased with the outcome, somethings don't always go as planned. You just roll with it. So my book opens upside down and backwards...everything else is still right side up!
There she is upright!
The next project was this canvas frame...love so easy and simple.
I used a shimmering mist. I really like the random spots it gives and a little shimmer. It's Radiant rain, Luminarte. You could use Twinkling H2O's or Tim Holtz, depending on the look you're going for. This literally took 20 minutes to do? Maybe...
Oh, my little Ellanor when she was four in Croatia, such fond memories of these days.
I used double sided adhesive and pop dots to attach the cut ups.
I think these would make a great little hostess gift, thank you gift, or a just because gift.
I had the opportunity to meet Nikki at CHA this year and she's a lovely person. On a side note...I wish somebody would have told me not to wear the mock neck!! I look like an old lady! lol, oh well I know now.
Have a great day and I hope that you've enjoyed these cute little creations. They sure were fun to make, I think I will be making more...
